Matthew Justin Vance, Esq.

Matthew Justin Vance graduated from Stonehill College in 1989. He took his M.B.A. (1994) and his law degree (1997) from the University of South Dakota. In 1997, he went to work as a Pension Benefits Advisor at the National Office of the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration in Washington, DC, where he processed thousands of inquires implicating many areas of ERISA.

In 2001, Mr. Vance entered the private practice of law in Northern New Jersey, where he has litigated matters under the Multi-Employer Pension Plan Amendments of 1980 and has assisted participants in matters arising under Title I of ERISA. Mr. Vance is an associate with the Morristown, New Jersey law firm of Niedweske Barber, P.C.

In March, 2002, an article Mr. Vance co-authored with Matthew Seibel, Esq. was published in the New York Bar Association's Labor Law Journal. The article is entitled "ERISA Preemption and New York's Prevailing Wage Law."
